Steve Price has been dropped as Warriors captain, replaced by second rower Simon Mannering.
Mannering made his first-grade debut against Brisbane in 2005 and, after a belated start to the 2006 season, went on to make 92 consecutive appearances.
Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah said it was important Mannering had every chance to develop as a captain while Price was still with the club.

As a rugby fan to the max, that call is about as bulls*** as to why they dropped big buck in '91.
Gary Whetton never went to the heights of the two skippers he was in between, both Buck and Fitzie.
Sorry Price, to be fair as Butch would say, youve been shafted.

As with comments above ,why have Michael Luck as captain in Steves absence and then not make him captain with Simmon as co-captain or vice captain.

I like Pricey however it does make sense to blood a new leader before the other departs especially considering pricey is away a bit on State of Origin duties and I really think Mannering was definitely the man for the job, smart, hard working and respected.

If he is no longer the obvious first choice he should go. Stop whining. That's sport.
