I was anything but disappointed and had no problems with the sound quality, not sure where Flakers was sitting. As for buying a couple of videos? The whole point is to see the person live!
The show was superb and Parkinson's greatest gift, his ability to let his subjects shine, was there for all to see. Parkinson said from the outset that the show was based on his book, and if you think about it, what else could it have been taken from.
Parkinson spoke from his heart about his upbringing, his mum and dad and the influences they had on him and it was a great story. Listening to the people around us I can say that I only heard very positive comments about the show. A great night, excellent value for money, great memories and lots of laughter. I bought the book after seeing the show and, after two chapters, think its very good.

I was a little disappointed with the Parky Show.
Firstly we were up in the 'gods' and the sound quality was very poor.
I have just read Parky's book which I really enjoyed but the show's material relied very heavily on the book's content.
I feel that if I had purchased a set of Parky's videos the cost would not have been as much as the show ticket and would have been more enjoyable.
I have always liked and respected Parky and he was indeed very warm and friendly, however I do feel rather ripped off.
I wasn't expecting to know exactly what every punchline was coming next.
Having read the book before the show was a bit unfortunate. I would be interested to know the opinions of those who read the book after seeing the show.
